Saving the Rainforest

He’s a man. He was born in England in October 1951.

He has short grey hair and big blue eyes, but when he was young he had medium- length straight blonde hair.

He was the principal song writer, lead singer and bassist for the new wave rock band “The Police” from 1977 to 1984, before launching a solo career.

He has included elements of rock, jazz, classics and reggae in his music.

As a member of “The Police” and solo him, he has sold millions of records and has received 16 Grammy Awards for his work.

There is a species of Amphibian endemic in Colombia – Dendropsophus Stingi-. The name of this species is a tribute to the musician for his efforts and commitment to save the rainforest.
